When the HPV Vaccines first came on the scene a few years ago, the only information available, it seemed, was what wonderful vaccines they were, some of the safest ever produced. However, what we weren’t being told was of the growing list of side effects possible. When these girls and young women started to experience adverse effects, and worse yet, dying, most people had nowhere to turn. In fact, it took most people months and sometimes years, to make the connection to one of these vaccines, and if they did, most of those in the medical profession said these “mystery illnesses” could not be connected to the vaccine. Thanks to the internet and other social networks, such as groups on Yahoo, the families and friends of those injured began to make contact with one another, and we realized that our numbers, unfortunately, were growing. It was in one of these groups started by Anita Tindell, “Let’s Talk About Gardasil, that we realized that while these groups were imperative, something more was needed, and that was a central place to share information, as well as a way to educate not only the public, but also politicians, as well as those in the medical community. This, we decided, was crucial to making an informed decision about these vaccines and the risks involved. We also felt that those who had been injured, or even killed by one of these vaccines, deserved a voice, and a place to tell about their experience. It was then that work began on this website, and the Board of Directors was formed.
Marian Greene, President and Founder
Marian Greene, is a social activist, and mother of a vaccine injured child.She founded and is Chairman of TruthAboutGardasil.org Her goal is to provide not only information, but emotional support to other parents. She feels it is essential that the public be educated, so as to make informed decisions for the health of their families. Her mission is to provide this information in an easy to understand manner, while educating politicians, physicians, parents, and the general public, as a whole.
Ashley Bourgault was a typical girl who loved anything to do with outdoor activities. She was often playing softball or out bowling with friends or running around, never resting. That was until she went for a typical check up and trusted her doctor to keep her safe and healthy when she suggested the HPV vaccine. Now the days outside became days in bed not having strength to hang out with friends. Then it became a mission to research, spread awareness, and educate others about vaccines. Always saying, “Educate before you vaccinate” and gladly looking up information for others or helping out in anyway. Her drive to warn not only warn others, but to comfort those already injured on a support group, she was recognized by the TAG group as the compassionate and driven person that they were looking for.
Felicia Beaumont, Vice President and Injured Representitive
Felicia Beaumont received the first of only 2 shots of the HPV series in July 2009. She has not been the same since, and says, “I deal with headaches, brain fog, twitching, P.C.O.S., difficulty finding words/losing words and problems spelling on a daily basis. As a person who has been vaccinated against everything else and never had a problem, I never questioned my doctor when she recommended it – doctors are supposed to have your best interests at heart. I am now allergic to the most commonly used yellow food dyes (yes, they’re even in hair and skin care products), amongst other things. I hope to help mothers and daughters make the right decision about this vaccine, as the number of injured girls is ever growing.”
Jodi Speakman, Vice President
Jodi Speakman is from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She is a certified paralegal and works full-time at center city law firm. Jodi is divorced and has two children, Victoria Ventimiglia and Michael Ventimiglia. Victoria and Michael’s father is very supportive.
Jodi has been active in promoting awareness of adverse reactions to Gardasil since her daughter, Victoria, became seriously ill in February 2008. Since that time, she has posted “Victoria’s Story” on thousands of websites and has spent countless hours researching the adverse effects of Gardasil. Jodi has been interviewed by several Philadelphia newspapers, many internet newspapers and Fox news. She also authored a brief synopsis of her daughter’s symptoms which appears on the National Vaccine Information Center’s website. Jodi speaks publicly about Victoria’s adverse reaction to the Gardasil vaccine. It is her mission to educate others about the dangers of Gardasil.

Kristin Clulow, Vice President and Injured Representative
Kristin was 26 when she received two shots of the Gardasil vaccine, highly recommended and administered by her local GP. Soon after, this fit, active and full-of-life girl suffered paralysis to her right side, tremors, sickness, insomnia… and the list goes on. After many hospital visits and rehabilitation, Kristin is now regaining the initial strength and coordination pre-vaccine.
Kristin is working to bring awareness to the Gardasil issue in her home country – Australia – and ensure that every girl is ‘one less’being affected by this vaccine.
Laurie Dean-Smith, Vice President and Secretary
Laurie Dean-Smith is a single mother from Southeast Texas. She became involved with the Truth About Gardasil group after her, then, 14 year old daughter, became very sick from one shot of the vaccine.
Since then, she has became active in making others aware of the true side effects of Gardasil by using her voice everywhere she goes and writing press releases for the group. She is now the secretary of the board of directors to join forces with other mothers who are in this fight to win the battle of getting Gardasil pulled from the market.
Linda Arnold May, Vice President
Linda Arnold May joined TAG because as she says, ” I, too, am in a fight for my daughter’s health and well-being. The life of our daughter changed on February 23, 2010 when she received her one, and only, Gardasil shot. Since that time we have seen multiple doctors in our area in hopes of trying to heal her ever-growing list of ailments. We are very fortunate to be believed by a large group of specialists in our home town but unfortunately they are not able to fix the problems, they can only treat the symptoms. It has become very apparent to me that my voice needs to be added to the others who have been involved in the process of education, support for other victims and advocacy for all who have been harmed by this vaccine”.
Lydia Miller, Vice President
Lydia Miller is the parent of a now 16 year old daughter who was injured by Gardasil about 1 1/2 years ago. Lydia recently resigned from a full time social work position to devote herself to caring for the constant health needs of her daughter as well as finding a cure for the girls who have been injured by this vaccine. Lydia’s goal is to spread awareness about the dangers of Gardasil as well as provide support for those families whose children have been adversely affected by this vaccine.
Roxie Fiste, Vice President
Roxie Fiste is a mother of a vaccine injured daughter (Gardasil). Is currently a member of Truth About Gardasil board, and has been striving to educate as many individuals as possible to the need for vaccine safety and the dangers of many current vaccines on the market. She is an active “Guardian Angel”, working to give much needed emotional support and education to many vaccine injured individuals and their parents.
Tracy Andrews-Wolf, Vice President
Tracy Andrews–Wolf is a mother of two teen daughters. The Gardisil vaccine injured her 17 yr. old daughter in 2007. Tracy’s role as a mother for her 17 yr. old has been redefined and now includes primary care giver, record keeper, and supervisor for pain management, seizure control, and behavior modification for her daughter. She has done several interviews with local media concerning vaccine injury and has sought out new technology treatments including Hbot for her daughter.
Tracy is a community organizer in her neighborhood and is a board member of TruthAboutGardisil.org. She speaks at length to parents and families of teens providing information and support about vaccine injury and is motivated to bring to the public an honest and complete disclosure of the Gardisil vaccine and vaccine related injury. It is her belief that everyone should educate themselves about vaccines and have provided to them a clear understanding of the benefits and risks involved.
Tracy Morjal, Vice President
Tracy Morjal is the mother of 16 year old, Susie. She has been sick since the gardasil shot. We are in and out of doctors and hospitals all the time. She’s been so ill, that she can no longer attend school and has been placed on the homebound program again. I’m in this fight for my daughter, as well as anyone injured by gardasil and the other HPV vaccines.

I feel for you all who have suffered at the hand of gardasil. Thankfully after 18mnths of seeing doctor after doctor, specialist after specialist I finally have found a solution to my illness. I wanted to share it with everyone out there as it may help to find an answer for others. I had been suffering with daily head aches, tremors, eye flickering, severe eyes aches, dizziness, fainting, ear buzzing, and fatigue, unable to concentrate. I suffered from daily episodes which looked like seizures and had similar effects after an episode: slurred speech, extremely tired, muscle aches; unable to walk would sleep for couple hrs afterwards as would be exhausted. before each episode I had a throbbing headache, I had been to numerous neurologists spent a week in hospital video/eeg monitoring to be told there was nothing wrong with me which was extremely frustrating as I was not able to drive or attend school, as I was having these episodes at least twice a day. Finally after telling the GP I was suffering throbbing one sided head ache before each episode he started me on migraine preventing tablets and I am happy to say I have felt one hundred percent. I feel for anyone affected by this vaccine and hope that others are finding answers to their illness.

I’m sorry there have been adverse reactions to some girls getting the shot. Sadly, with anything we do from taking an aspirin to getting our kids their proper innoculations there is always risk.
Have you known someone who has died of cervical cancer? Have you listened to a young woman cry because she can not have children because of surgery to save her life she looses the chance to give life? Have you been on a cervical cancer blog and read the brave women’s story of permanent damage with bladder, bowel, bone issues due to chemo and radiation?
I’m appalled at this comment from your site. “Dr. Harper told CBS News on August 19, 2009 that “young girls and their parents should receive more complete warnings before receiving the vaccine” and that a girl is more likely to die from an adverse reaction to Gardasil than from cervical cancer.”
To have this Doctor make this claim, would mean 4000 girls would die EACH YEAR from the Gardasil shots. I don’t believe that to be remotely true. Check the stats at http://www.cancer.gov/cancertopics/types/cervical 11,000 cases of CC are diagnosed and 4000 die each year.
I am a 6 month cervical cancer survivor. I’ve had a colposcopy, leep, and a radical hysterectomy between October of 09 and Jan of 2010. I have been poked and proded rectally and vaginally. It was not a pleasant experience; however, I am alive. I am supposedly “cured”. I am a woman who goes for yearly exams. I am in good shape, don’t smoke or drink and was not on the pill. I am 44 years old and would have loved to have the Gardasil had it been available 20 years ago.
Women on the Cervical Cancer blog would jump at the chance for a Gardasil vaccine. As soon as the vaccine is safe for boys, my sons will get the vaccine. HPV is passed from men to women and sadly there is no test for men. I have known MANY families who have had their daughters vaccinated and have had 0 side affects and are more protected than people in my generation. While I think parents need to be cautious if their children have ever had adverse reactions previously– food allergies, shot reactions, or other underlying problems. To take something away that can save thousands of lives in unjust to the many it will save.
I spent the whole day reading many of the stories on this website. I was on my way to the beach, until it clouded over with CHEMTRAILS! So, I came back to read more of this website.
I was surprised that, so far, no mention of codex alimentarius. I also am going to close my Facebook, because I specifically recall ads by microsoft via the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation PROMOTING THESE VACCINATIONS.

My name is Laurie Dean-Smith. I am just a simple mom that adores my family. Our lives were just like everyone else, until June 9, 2009 when my, then 14 year old daughter, Ashlee, received her one and only shot of Gardasil. She was immediately sick and has never been the same. As any mom would do, with no doctor admitting the true cause of her illness, I began to research and search for answers as well as others who were in my sinking boat. I found the yahoo group, truth about Gardasil, and discovered that not only were we not alone in this, but the boat was getting fuller and fuller and today, the numbers of injured girls still pour in! I had never been even remotely interested in internet surfing, but these days it’s all I do…still searching for a cure and the answers why the product is not only still on the market, but is being protected from those designed to protect US…the American people. I have made the horrible discovery that the CDC and the FDA are corrupt and in bed with these pharmaceutical companies. Now what? I don’t know…but I will never stop searching or warning!
I’m so glad that you have survived your ordeal and pray that you remain healthy. However, I’ve spoken with many other cervical cancer survives who rushed to get their daughters vaccinated for them to nearly die or suffer permanently because of the very thing that was supposed to protect them! The doctor that you are quoting was one of the main developers involved with both gardasil and cervarix, I think she knows all about the statistics she is quoting and would have the correct information. Secondly, these are NOT cervical cancer vaccines – they are vaccines against HPV a sexually transmitted disease, there is a huge difference. Thirdly, many of the girls who have been injured have suffered premature ovarian failure, as well as many other issues affecting their fertility. According to the developer, these vaccines would need to be effective for at least 15 years to change the rate of cervical cancer diagnosis, at this point Gardasil is affective for about 5 years, and cervarix about 8 – neither of which anywhere near the needed 15. She also states that having regular check ups and pap smears are what prevent this type of cancer, again not the vaccine.
Again, I am extremely sorry that you have had to suffer the way you did, but these young men and women should not be suffering this horrific side effects from a vaccine that clearly needs to be studied further. I appreciate why you would think this vaccine is a good idea. The reason my daughter got Gardasil was because my father died of cancer, and in turn she almost died because of the thing that was supposed to protect her.
